Berliner Cohen, LLP is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to work alongside a team of diverse professionals while assisting attorneys in handling all aspects of litigation. The qualified candidate will assist attorneys in managing evidence, answering interrogatories, and preparing motions, complaints, briefs, and other legal documents; interviewing clients and witnesses for hearings, deposition, and trial; be familiar with e-discovery and coordinating with outside vendors and contractors to perform discovery obligations, be versed in excel and data creation and perform all types of legal support work assigned as permitted by the rules of the California State Bar.
Candidates should possess a strong academic background, a proven track record of strong performance and measurable results, and exceptional communication, analytical, and writing skills. The ability to be a creative thinker and problem solver and to work independently and with a team is also required.
Education Requirements: Must possess a Paralegal certificate or a degree in paralegal studies.
Preferred: Bachelor's degree and a Paralegal Certificate from American Bar Association (ABA) approved program.
Experience Requirements: Minimum of five year’s experience working as a paralegal in a civil litigation law firm. Must have experience in ESI Discovery and Proficient in Excel.
Skills: Ability to work independently, see tasks through fruition, excellent attention to detail, and familiarity with electronic discovery platforms and Excel databases.

The Litigation Paralegal's hourly pay range is expected to be between $52.00 to $60.00. The successful candidate for this position is reasonably expected to be set within this range; however, actual compensation will depend on a variety of factors, including, without limitation, the candidate's qualifications and experience.
